cma award 2024

CMA award 2024

The best CMA awards 2024  At first, I was going to do an cma  awards 2024 preview video for the AMA’s, which is the American Music Awards, because they’re on October 6th. But the CMA Awards, which are the Country Music Association Awards, already announced their nominations. Since I’m a country fan, I have to talk about these.

Another reason is that some of Beyoncé’s fans are upset because she wasn’t nominated, which is confusing to me. Beyoncé even admitted on Instagram back in March that Cowboy Carter is not a country album. She said, “This ain’t a country album. This is a Beyoncé album.” So, I don’t understand the uproar. Beyoncé is not country and never will be—she even admitted it.

Let’s move on to the country artists nominated for the CMA Awards—the ones who are country and will admit they’re country.

Entertainer of the cma awards 2024   Year

The nominees are:

  • Luke Combs
  • Jelly Roll
  • Chris Stapleton
  • Morgan Wallen
  • Lainey Wilson

I love Luke Combs; he’s a fantastic artist. Jelly Roll is great too. I just started listening to him this year, and his career is really taking off. Chris Stapleton is amazing, as always. Morgan Wallen has the most nominations this year. Lainey Wilson is also one of my favorites. These are all great picks!

Album of the cma awards 2024  Year

The nominees are:

  • Deeper Well by Kacey Musgraves
  • Fathers and Sons by Luke Combs
  • Higher by Chris Stapleton
  • Leather by Cody Johnson
  • Whitsitt Chapel by Jelly Roll

I’m not a fan of Kacey Musgraves—I just don’t like her style. Luke Combs’ Fathers and Sons would be awesome if it wins, but I haven’t listened to all the songs yet. Chris Stapleton’s Higher is probably on my playlist because I love his unique sound. I haven’t listened to Cody Johnson much, but I’ve heard good things about Leather. Jelly Roll’s album is on my playlist, and it’s pretty good.

Female Vocalist of the cma awards 2024  Year

The nominees are:

  • Kelsea Ballerini
  • Ashley McBryde
  • Megan Moroney
  • Kacey Musgraves
  • Lainey Wilson

Out of these ladies, my favorite is Lainey Wilson. She’s awesome—great style and a fantastic singer. I’m rooting for her to win!

Male Vocalist of the cma awards 2024 Year

The nominees are:

  • Luke Combs
  • Jelly Roll
  • Cody Johnson
  • Chris Stapleton
  • Morgan Wallen

I absolutely love Luke Combs and his music. Jelly Roll is growing on me. Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton are great too. As for Morgan Wallen, he had his big moment last year, so I’d like to see someone else win this year.

Vocal Group of the Year

The nominees are:

  • Lady A
  • Little Big Town
  • Old Dominion
  • The Red Clay Strays
  • Zac Brown Band

I’ve loved Lady A, Little Big Town, and Old Dominion for years. Zac Brown Band is also great. I’m not familiar with The Red Clay Strays, so I’d prefer one of the other groups to win.

Vocal Duo of the Year

The nominees are:

  • Brooks & Dunn
  • Brothers Osborne
  • Dan + Shay
  • Maddie & Tae
  • The War and Treaty

Brooks & Dunn winning again would be nostalgic. Dan + Shay are also great, with their unique, slightly poppy sound. I’m not familiar with The War and Treaty, so I’ll have to check them out.

New Artist of the Year

The nominees are:

  • Megan Moroney
  • Shaboozi
  • Nate Smith
  • Mitchell Tenpenny
  • Zack Top
  • Bailey Zimmerman

I don’t listen to many new artists, but Mitchell Tenpenny’s name sounds familiar. I’ll need to explore their music before the awards.

Single of the Year

The nominees are:

  • A Bar Song by Shaboozi
  • Dirt Cheap by Cody Johnson
  • I Had Some Help by Post Malone
  • Watermelon Moonshine by Lainey Wilson
  • White Horse by Chris Stapleton

Lainey Wilson’s Watermelon Moonshine is my favorite—it’s already on my playlist. Chris Stapleton’s White Horse is also amazing.

Song of the Year

The nominees are:

  • Burn It Down
  • Dirt Cheap by Josh Phillips
  • I Had Some Help
  • The Painter
  • White Horse

I’ll have to listen to some of these songs to form an opinion.

Conclusion

The CMA Awards are on November 20th at 8 PM (7 PM Central) on ABC. I’m looking forward to seeing who wins!
